WHO WE ARE
ABOUT US
Clubhouse Atlanta was founded by Susie Kyle and Bill McClung in 2018. After years of personal experience with family members struggling with Mental Illness and through their involvement with the National Alliance on Mental Illness, NAMI, they determined that a personalized approach to care in a community-based setting was an effective way to help one achieve recovery. It is their belief that those living with a Mental Illness can and should have the opportunity to reach their full potential in a friendly, inviting and productive environment.
Through their due deligence, they discovered the Clubhouse International Model after attending a local NAMI Conference in which Clubhouse International COO, Jack Yatsko, was the guest speaker. They were convinced that the Clubhouse model, which today has 327 locations in 27 different countries, was right one for their loved ones and others in similar situations.

From that point forward, they were determined to create the first standards-based Clubhouse in the state of Georgia. Clubhouse Atlanta incorporated, was approved as a nonprofit and began the process of telling their story, seeking support, raising money, and finding our Clubhouse location. A strong foundation was laid and a close relationship with St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church in Dunwoody was developed. We opened our doors in October 2020 where today, we have at thriving Clubhouse.
Today, Clubhouse Atlanta has served nearly 60 diverse members since opening its doors. There is a thriving Work-Ordered-Day and a strong and didicated staff committed to providing its members with a respectful space where they can come to work on their goals while feeling Wanted, Needed and RESPECTED!!!. Although there is still plenty of work to do, our foundation is STRONG!!!
